Coronavirus Concerns May Cause Travel Changes on 'The Bachelorette'
While fans are excited to see Clare Crawley take on the lead of The Bachelorette later this year, it looks like her season will be impacted by the current coronavirus outbreak. A source told E! News that there will be no international travel on Crawley’s season, and all the trips that Crawley takes with her contestants will be domestic.
Things could change if/when the virus’ spread is contained, but as of right now, the show has officially scrapped any plans for going overseas. In the past, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have visited countries including Chile, Hong Kong, Greece, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
Crawley’s season will also be different because production is making an effort to cast older contestants for her season. Crawley is 38, and she previously said that the younger contestants on the current season of The Bachelor were like “babies.” It’s been reported that all of Crawley’s contestant will be over 25, and some of them will have children.
Similarly, CBS has also suspended production on season 33 of The Amazing Race, as the show’s entire 21-day run takes place in different places around the world. CBS released a statement saying that while none of TAR‘s cast or crew have any coronavirus symptoms at the moment, they decided to stop filming out of an abundance of caution.
