BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker, 44, previously fronted Football Focus alongside his co-star Dion Dublin, 52, for the past decade. The former professional footballer is also a regular presenter on the BBC property show Homes Under The Hammer.

Taking to Twitter, Dan congratulated his co-star and pal, who recently announced some big news.

The former Manchester United player has launched his own property auction house, selling residential and commercial property.

In view of Dan’s 790,000 followers, the presenter retweeted a message from Dion which read: “We are open for business @lot9auctions #propertyauction #propertyinvestment.”

Reacting to the big news, the Breakfast presenter offered his well wishes to his co-star.

Dan penned: “Nice to see Dubs branching out.

“I suggested he called it ‘Stairs Going Up To The Bedrooms’ or at least SGUTTP but he was having none of it All the best @DionDublinsDube.”

Dion enjoyed a long career as a professional footballer playing for England and several clubs including Manchester United, Coventry and Aston Villa.

In recent years, the sports pundit has turned his attention to property development, hosting Homes Under The Hammer alongside Martin Roberts and Martel Maxwell.

In addition, he is often a regular presenter on the sports programme Football Focus.

Dan quit his role on the latter after 12 years back in April to focus on other work commitments.

Meanwhile, the presenter has been busy presenting the coverage for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The BBC Breakfast has teamed up with Samantha Quek for a morning special where they cover all the highlights from the Games.

“I think they want to be friends with @LutaloMuhammad.”

Fans flocked to comment on the post, as one wrote: “You just need to introduce them to fencing and shooting and you have a modern pentathlete in the making… (Basically the Olympic event for those who wanted to be a knight).”

“EVERYONE wants to be friends with @LutaloMuhammad. He’s definitely won a gold for these games without even leaving these shores. Such a great ambassador for sport,” another penned.

A third penned: “Too right! He is rather fabulous!”

While a fourth added: “My son started taekwondo following watching @jadejonestkd at the Olympics in 2012 he got his black belt 2 weeks before his 10th birthday and is still doing it and loves it. Think the kids will love it.”
