Orlando Bloom gushes over ‘blooming’ Katy Perry as they prepare to welcome baby
Orlando Bloom wants the world to know how excited he is about becoming a father for the second time – and how proud he is to see fiancée Katy Perry embrace her pregnancy.
The 43-year-old Lord of the Rings actor took to social media on Saturday to pay gushing tribute to 35-year-old chart topping singer Katy as he celebrated her pregnancy reveal.
Katy stunned fans earlier in the week when she revealed she would be a mother for the first time after falling pregnant with husband-to-be Orlando.
And posting a photograph of his pregnant fiancée on Instagram over the weekend, ‘Landy expressed his excitement and joy about becoming a dad again.
“My babies blooming” he wrote as he shared a photo of Katy proudly displaying her baby bump in a tight dress – while adding a red heart emoji to the post.
Orlando has a nine-year-old son named Flynn from his previous marriage to Australian model Miranda Kerr, 36, whom he was married to between 2010 and 2013.
Orlando’s gushing post comes after Katy revealed her romance with the actor is far from perfect – but that they inspire and encourage each other even in the low points of their relationship.
"I have consciously or unconsciously picked a partner that makes sure I keep evolving into the best version of myself,” Katy said during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday.
"There's a lot of friction between my partner and I, but that friction breeds something beautiful, it can breed a lot of light,” she continued.
"It's just one of those relationships. I don't know about anyone else who's listening what kind of relationships they've had – and I've had many – but it's like we basically, we get down to the matt and come back up every time,” she added.
Meanwhile, the couple had planed to tie-the-knot this summer – but could be forced to push back their vows due to the coronavirus panic.
"It was all set for Japan with 150 guests. Katy was actually really excited about walking down the aisle pregnant,” a source told People magazine.
"They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus,” the source added.
It would be the second time the couple push back their wedding day after they reportedly delayed plans for a winter wedding last year due to location issues.
