Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn has opened up about feeling “traumatised” by her son Christian’s birth after she had to undergo an emergency C-section.

The Netflix reality star, 32, welcomed her adorable little boy – full name Christian Georges Dumontet – at 4:22pm on 15 May, weighing 6lb 14oz, just 22 minutes after she and her husband, retired tech entrepreneur Christian Richard, arrived at the hospital.

But the journey to get to that point wasn’t easy, and Christine tells new! magazine she was “traumatised” by what happened whilst she was in hospital.

Revealing she has only recently been able to speak about her birth story, Christine told us: “I definitely do want more [children], it’s just a matter of timing and me feeling comfortable getting pregnant again, and hoping everything will be okay.

“I wasn’t even really comfortable telling my birth story a week ago, so it’s all about me easing into the comfort level.”

She continued: “I was traumatised. Christian was trying to tell me what had happened and I was like, ‘Nope – I don’t want to hear it, tell me when I’m out of the hospital.’ It was too soon.”

Christine added that the whole experience was “scary”, and if it wasn’t for the quick thinking of the doctors and nurses she’s not sure all three of them “would have come home from the hospital”.

“It was the quickest birth ever,” she explained. “A lot of decisions had to be made quickly as the baby’s heart rate was dropping and my heart rate was dropping because I was in so much pain.

“I couldn’t get an epidural because I was already 9cm dilated.

"The baby had such a critical time period to get out and he was coming out sideways, and the umbilical cord was wrapped around him. It was scary.”

Fashionista Christine actually went into labour two days prior to Christian’s arrival and says she was “dilated” on the red carpet for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, but her contractions were dismissed as Braxton Hicks.

She said: “I was labouring for two days and I didn’t know!

"I knew I was cramping and I told my doctor, but they said it was normal and I wasn’t in excruciating pain. It was just dismissed as Braxton Hicks.”

Her waters broke 48 hours after her red carpet appearance.

She continued: “I couldn’t even put clothes on! I couldn’t put pants or panties on because I physically couldn’t stop gushing water, so I had to rush to hospital in a towel! It was not glamorous by any means.”
