According to Corriere dello Sport, United “command the operations” when it comes to leading the race for Napoli star defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The 28-year-old has long been linked with a move away from his parent club with Europe's elite constantly keeping tabs on his sitution.

Napoli were looking for about £100m but have seemed to have moved their position, and are willing to drop the price for the defender.

That would mean smashing the record for the most-expensive defender, which is currently held by Liverpool for Virgil Van Dijk.

David De Gea gifted Everton the lead with an absolute howler kicking it straight off of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Souness said: “I see him dancing at a wedding, shooting hoops and other things.

“The cynic in me says he doesn't want to play for United. How could you not want to play for Manchester United?”

Pogba has missed most of the season through a persisting ankle problem, he has only featured 8 times all season.

Portuguese and Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been an instant success at United contributing to four goals in five games for the club.
