Atletico Madrid ready to sell Filipe Luis this summer but PSG must match valuation
PSG can land Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis IF they meet his £25million valuation, according to reports in Spain.
The 33-year-old former Chelsea full-back played every minute of the 1-1 draw at Valencia at the weekend but is expected to move on.
A source told Marca: “They have spoken and they will speak with the player, making it clear to him that he is considered an important part of the squad for both the club and the coach.
“The wish is for him to stay.
“He knows what he has to bring [in terms of a transfer fee] if he does want to leave."
Luis is under contract until 2019, with the option of a further 12 months and his wages could be doubled if he meets a number of performance targets.
The Brazilian was unhappy after being axed from the Atletico squad that beat Real Madrid to the UEFA Super Cup last Wednesday.
