Little Mix Jade Thirlwall talks band split as she admits ‘it’s all or nothing’
Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has opened up about the longevity of the girl group stating if one member decides to leave, the band wouldn't continue.
The four-piece became the first girl band in the history of The X Factor to make it to the final live show, and went on to win the talent competition – the first group to do so.
Since their big win, Little Mix has dominated the charts, selling millions of albums and singles worldwide.
Unlike the Spice Girls, who carried on despite Geri Horner's shock departure, Jade said the same wouldn't happen with Little Mix.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she discussed the group's tight-knit bond, explaining: "It’s all or nothing with us. We are sisters so if one of us left, that would be it."
Joined by her fellow bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards, the singers discussed everything from body image to online hate and their famous beaus.
Jade admitted he felt "like a boy" next to the other members.
"I didn’t have a very womanly shape and I’ve got no t**s,” she said.
"I’ve kind of grown into myself a little bit now but I used to want a boob job. I (felt) that I wasn’t sexy enough in the band.
"I still have that complex now when I go on dates. I think, ‘Am I woman enough for someone?’ which is silly."
Meanwhile, Jesy, who fronted a BBC documentary last year about the detrimental effect of online trolls, admitted being in the spotlight means they can never "let themselves go".
"You can never let yourself go," Jesy explained.
"I want to go on holiday, eat s**t and let my belly rolls out without worrying that someone’s taken a sneaky photo. You’re always being judged."
