He barely lifted a leg when last-sighted at Doncaster in December, and connections clearly felt he had trouble with his breathing there.
That turned out to be a strong race for the grade – indeed he has run in stronger company than this on each of his three starts this season.
As a result he has slipped to a very dangerous mark. Now freshened up, he is fancied to bounce back with Richard Johnson in the plate.
