Wednesday racing tips: All you need for the feature Conditions Stakes at Kempton on Wednesday

THE racing on the all-weather at Kempton on Wednesday evening is a bit tasty.

The £60,000 'Road To Kentucky Derby' Conditions Stakes (7.15) is the feature event, so we've taken a close look at the action.

Racegoers at Kempton on Wednesday will be in for a rare treat as five classy runners go head-to-head in the £60,000 feature – though I doubt we will be seeing a Kentucky Derby winner!

NEW WORLD TAPESTRY makes plenty of appeal for the all-conquering Aidan O'Brien.

This colt chased home the likes of Arizona and Armory on his first two outings before opening his account in decent style at Newmarket.

He was a shade disappointing when eighth in the rescheduled Group 1Vertem Futurity Trophy at Newcastle in November.

But he probably paid the price for racing too close to a strong gallop, so he is worth another chance.

He is out of the top mare Tapestry, who proved herself a top-class performer over middle distances as a three-year-old.

Her progeny should improve with age, so this lad, who takes a huge drop in class, is expected to step up on what he achieved as a juvenile.

The obvious danger is Berlin Tango, who ran with plenty of promise when a close third in the Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster in September.

He commands respect, while the unbeaten French challenger Chares shouldn't be underestimated.

He was a game winner in a Listed race when last sighted and is top-rated in this line-up.

Ayr Harbour and Naval Commander will win their share of races but will likely find this a tad too hot.
