ENGLAND will be without Mako Vunipola yet again as they host Wales in a huge Six Nations match at Twickenham today.

Vunipola missed out on the game against Ireland two weeks ago after flying to Tonga for personal reasons, and it is that flight that has cost him his place in the squad this week.

Why is Mako Vunipola not playing for England against Wales?

Mako Vunipola will not face Wales after reportedly self-isolating due to the coronavirus.

The prop was told to stay away from England training after changing plane in Hong Kong following his trip to Tonga.

An RFU spokeswoman said: "Mako is not in camp on medical grounds. He is not sick, but it is a precaution."

Why is Mako Vunipola playing for Saracens against Leicester today?

Despite England's decision, Saracens did allow Vunipola to train with them and have selected him for today's game against Leicester.

Sarries said: "Billy Vunipola and Mako Vunipola returned to Saracens after visiting family in Tonga, which included a short stop at Hong Kong Airport.

"Travellers returning from Hong Kong are not currently subject to mandatory quarantine or self-isolation unless they become symptomatic.

"Neither Billy or Mako have displayed symptoms of the coronavirus and on their return to London were assessed by the club’s medical staff.

"The duo have been around the Saracens environment for the past couple of days, with the latter available for selection this weekend.

"Saracens will continue to follow the Public Health England and World Health Organisation regulations surrounding coronavirus and the medical staff will be closely monitoring Billy and Mako on a regular basis."
