BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt was missing from Friday morning's show and replaced by journalist Jon Kay.
The BBC regular usually sits on the famous red sofa alongside co-host Naga Munchetty on Thursday and Friday mornings, but he appeared to be missing in action on the latest episode.
No reason was given as to why Charlie was not present in the studio but despite his absence it was still business as usual as Naga and Jon reported on the COP26 conference.
It has not been made clear whether he will return to the red sofa to present with Naga over the weekend, as the pair present on Saturdays together.
Meanwhile, Naga and Jon were left with the giggles when one of their BBC colleagues were left in the dark while reporting from the COP26 conference.
Journalist Adam Fleming appeared on the show from the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, but things quickly turned chaotic as he suffered a technical blunder.
The camera light went dark whilst he was speaking, leaving viewers struggling to see him while he attempted to continue the report.
To try and remove himself from focus, Adam appeared to bend down, but it was to no avail as Naga and Jon quickly intervened.
She said: "Oh, now the light has gone off. That's what happens while on live TV."
Jon jumped in as he said: ""We are cutting our carbon emissions as we speak, living exactly the responsibilities."
However, Jon's comment accidentally made Naga burst into giggles as she quickly turned to her side to hide her laughter from Adam and viewers at home.
