Doctor Who fans call out Tardis plot hole after Jodie Whittaker’s shocking life sentence from Judoon – The Sun
DOCTOR Who concluded last week with an action-packed finale – but viewers noticed something amiss in the episode’s closing moments.
After destroying The Master’s (Sacha Dhawan) terrifying hybrids of Time Lords and Cybermen, The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) made a narrow escape, along with her companions Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Graham (Bradley Walsh).
While this should’ve been a happy ending, things took a sinister turn when a squadron of Judoon teleported onto the Tardis, before whisking The Doctor off to a maximum security prison in space.
However, fans will know that the Tardis has long been celebrated as utterly impenetrable, so the rogue appearance came as quite the shock.
Many viewers took to social media to accuse show bosses of overlooking the Tardis’ robust defences.
“How the f*** can the can anyone teleport into the Tardis LET ALONE THE JUDOON?” one Twitter user wrote.
A second added: “The ONLY thing I hated about this episode was the Judoon entering the TARDIS.
“That was the dumbest thing Chibnall has done since taking the reins of the show. Nothing gets through the TARDIS! Especially not space police rhinos!”
A third asked: “How did the Judoon penetrate an impenetrable Tardis? #plothole.”
While a fourth raged: “So now even the goddamned Judoon can pop into the Tardis as they please?
“Can someone please point me to the episode when the Tardis’ defences become 100% non-functioning and the doc decided that was fine because I clearly missed it.”
In other Doctor Who news, Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are reportedly set to leave the show after the Dalek-based Christmas special.
Meanwhile, filming for season 13 will begin this autumn, for a 2021 release.
All episodes of season 12 can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
