Sharon (played by Letitia Dean) has been enjoying looking after her granddaughter Alyssa in recent weeks on EastEnders after her son Denny Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) former lover Jada Lennox (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) left the baby on her doorstep. Thinking the young mother is only keeping close to her for money, the BBC soap stalwart was ready to apply for full custody of the toddler in Monday night’s episode of the show. However, when the child disappeared at the end of the instalment, Sharon was ready to call the police but will she be calling a hitman if she discovers her brother Zack (James Farrar) betrayed her?
Zack has taken a liking to Jada recently, knowing the youngster is having a hard time adjusting to being a mother.
With Sharon announcing her plans to get full custody of Alyssa last week, it was clear Zack was uneasy and in the latest episode of the London-based drama, he was seen urging his sister to reconsider.
The siblings’ opinions on the young mother were completely different, with the heartthrob not thinking Jada had an ulterior motive being closer to Sharon.
However, when Alyssa’s mother turned up later in the instalment, she had an honest heart to heart with Zack about the situation.
Unfortunately, he seems to drop the bombshell his sister was going to be applying for full custody, removing Jada from the situation.
Jada played innocent when she arrived at Sharon’s flat wanting to dress her daughter in some of the new clothes she had bought for her.
The legendary character was happy for the young mother to spend some time with her baby but she had no idea what was really going on.
When Zack returned home, he realised the baby monitor wasn’t working and this made Sharon go and check on her granddaughter.
What she discovered rocked her to the core as both the mother and baby were gone, with all Alyssa’s clothes missing as well.
On telling her brother what had happened, he didn’t seem too shocked at all and his face had guilt written all over it.
Upcoming scenes will see Zack try to fix his mistake as he releases he needs to get Sharon’s granddaughter back home.
Unfortunately, as she looks for Alyssa, the legendary character could have already clocked on to her brother’s shifty behaviour.
When she confronts him about what’s wrong, she could be left devastated over his betrayal as he is the reason the baby is missing.
Unable to think about what she will do to him, Sharon could continue with the search and eventually find her granddaughter.
With Alyssa back home, the stalwart could start planning her revenge on her brother and viewers know she is an expert in getting payback.
Zack is sure to ruffle a few feathers
When she discovered her ex-husband, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), played a part in the death of her son Denny, she wanted blood.
The mother of two ordered a hit on the ruthless businessman as well as trying to position him to get her revenge for her son.
However, she wasn’t able to go through with it and Ian ended up leaving Walford to get out of the way until the dust settled.
Unfortunately for Zack, this time around his sister might not be so lenient when it comes to following through with her plans.
She could ensure one of Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) associates take her brother out for good.
This would bring an end to Zack’s time on the Square, having been introduced to the show and Walford earlier this year.
Sharon is not one to let things go without consequences and her brother should have learnt this in his short time on the Square.
But the likes of Martin Fowler (James Bye would be confused as to where Zack had gone if he is murdered and swept under the carpet.
The mother of two could create any amount of lies she wants to ensure her deadly secret stays harboured but she could start tripping up on herself.
Will the legendary character’s deadly deeds be uncovered as she breaks down over killing her own brother?
When Zack’s arrival was teased, the show said: “Zack Hudson is an unpredictable troublemaker who lives life in the fast lane.
“A lone wolf, Zack had a difficult childhood that has left him determined to never rely on anyone or become too attached.
“Zack is sure to ruffle a few feathers,” the description continued but it would have never of been thought his actions would result in his murder.
Will Sharon confess to the police she ordered her brother’s murder as she struggles with the guilt of his death?
EastEnders continues Tuesday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
