Emmerdales Chas wont tell Paddy about kiss with Al amid new cheating storyline
Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes when Chas Dingle turns to Al Chapman for support after learning that her mother Faith Dingle's breast cancer has returned and it is incurable.
In upcoming scenes, Chas struggles with the discovery while her husband Paddy Kirk is left feeling useless as he is unable to truly help his wife during the difficult time.
Chas then seeks comfort in Al as the two open up about their respective families and his advice proves to be useful as in later scenes Chas apologises to Faith for pushing her towards more chemotherapy.
However, things go from bad to worse when Chas gets frustrated with Paddy after he brings home hospice flyers and she runs to Al again for support.
Chas admits she wants to forget everything that is happening and she bonds with Al over a bottle of wine as they share stories about Faith.
And upon leaving, Chas stumbles onto Al as the two share a passionate kiss…
Teasing the upcoming scenes at a recent press day with OK! and other publications, Chas star Lucy Pargeter said that her character won't tell Paddy about the kiss.
The actress, 45, said: "No, this is just a kiss. It's an outpouring of everything, a release, something that just goes somewhere completely unexpected.
"Even though they have that connection, it’s just something that happens and she’s very much like: 'I don’t think it’s worth ruining a marriage over a kiss that just happened'."
Talking further about Chas' kiss with Al, Lucy said: "It happens by accident really, she sees Al as an easy outlet to have a dig at but she hears from Belle that Al has been to his dad's funeral.
"Chas apologises and Al sees that as a way to offload to her about that and he’s trying to help her in offloading about her mum.
"It's that really weird connection of she hates him with a passion but he's offering that shoulder to offload onto, and offering that non-emotional connection and advice."
While Al star, Michael Wildman, added of his character's kiss with Chas: "It's genuine!"
Talking about whether Al will come clean to his partner Kerry Wyatt, played by Laura Norton, he said: "I doubt very much he will come clean but I don’t know.

"There may be a time where he does come clean to someone he has cheated on but in this moment in time, he kind of gets to the point where he’s not getting something he's looking for in the current relationship he's in and that's where he always goes wrong.
"At this moment in time that is where Chas comes along and she offers him the comfort and support he's not getting somewhere else, and that is his biggest downfall."
