First look as Richard Madeley whimpers in horror as he struggles to find stars in gruesome I’m A Celeb trial

RICHARD Madeley whimpers in horrors as he attempts to find stars during his second I’m A Celebrity trial.

The broadcaster, 65, was picked by viewers to take part in Castle Kitchen Nightmares which sees him pushed down a chute and then covered in rotting food as he tries to find stars for the camp.

The first look, which will air in full this evening, sees him struggling to get hold of anything as the exclaims: “Urgh, it’s freezing.”

He adds: “This is really, really hard.”

Viewers were surprised that Richard was picked, because many thought it would be Naughty Boy.

Music producer Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – had threatened to quit the show after just three days as he struggled with life in the Gwrych Castle clink.

Usually when campmates are struggling with trials and tasks, viewers vote in their droves to see them do more – leading some to suggest it’s a fix.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "You can't tell me that everyone wouldn't have voted for @NaughtyBoyMusic on #ImACeleb I smell a rat #fix#ImACelebrity#naughtyboy."

Another posted: "Such a fix no way the public did not vote for naughty boy to do another trial #ImACeleb."

Speaking prior to entering the castle, Richard revealed he was very up for taking part in trials.

He said: “I really hope I do get voted for the Trials.
