General Hospital actor William deVry confirms he's leaving the soap
General Hospital fans are devastated after actor William deVry confirmed he will be leaving the soap.
The actor has played Julian Jerome on the ABC daytime drama since 2013, but fans will now have to get ready for life without his character.
William took to Twitter on Thursday to seemingly confirm the rumors of his exit as he bid farewell to his co-stars and bosses.
He wrote: ‘Much love to @valentinifrank @GeneralHospital @NancyLeeGrahn @dom_zamprogna @lldubs @phideaux_xavier @GenieFrancis @kinshriner @haleypullos @RealEdenMccoy @_lexiainsworth & everyone 4 all the ♥️ last 7 years. ? Fans MADE #Julexis & Julian..♥️4ever.’
The 52-year-old then began to retweeted messages from fans and his fellow co-stars and they revealed their reaction to the news.
His character was half of one of General Hospital’s super couple, Julexis, opposite Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Hi co-star posted a sweet message wishing him well as she tweeted: ‘Much love back to you, my hot, sexy partner who helped make our senior sex the hottest thing for three years straight.
‘Nobody can throw this 60-year-old against a wall like you did, gather a freaking #JulexisArmy like we did and live to tell about it. #Julexis made ageism stupid and experience sick.’
Prior to General Hospital, he appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Storm Logan, played Michael Cambias on All My Children, and Tim Dolan on Port Charles.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
