Kelly Clarkson's ex Brandon Blackstock agrees to joint legal custody of kids in his response to divorce petition

KELLY Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock agreed to joint legal custody of their kids in his response to her divorce petition.

The former couple share 6-year-old River and 4-year-old Remington.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brandon agreed to Kelly's request of having joint legal and physical custody of their children.

In her petition, Kelly asked the court to deny any request for spousal support and to enforce their prenuptial agreement that they signed before their marriage.

Brandon responded to Kelly's request regarding spousal support by checking the "other" box and listing "reserved," which means they will likely discuss the topic at a later date.

The singer, 38, married the talent manager, 43, in 2013.

She filed for divorce in Los Angeles on June 4.

Kelly cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and wrote "TBD" for the date of separation.

The Voice judge is also is stepmom to Seth, 13, and Savannah, 18, from Brandon's previous marriage.

The American Idol alum also requested to restore her maiden name, Kelly Clarkson, from her current legal name, Kelly Blackstock.

The Kelly Clarkson Show host recently "broke down in tears" while watching Jordin Sparks sing a sweet lullaby to her son, Dana Isaiah Thomas, Jr., on the talk show.

During Jordin's appearance on the show, a clip played where the 30-year-old singer serenaded her son to You Are My Sunshine.

Speaking about the performance, Kelly said: "I lost it. I was like, crying."

She continued: "It was just so sweet. And his little voice! That moment was so beautiful.

"I felt like it was me and my son Remy. He loves singing that song too.

"My little boy loves it. It’s so funny because I have a little boy and a little girl.

"And it’s such a different love for both of them and a different vibe."

Kelly and the fellow American Idol alum also bonded over their shared love of motherhood during the episode.

The My Life Would Suck Without You songstress has been performing emotional covers during her talk show.

She recently appeared emotional on her hit NBC series while belting out Miley Cyrus’ The Climb.
