Long Lost Family fans in floods of tears over 'heart-wrenching cruelty' of twins separated at birth

LONG Lost Family fans were left in floods of tears tonight over the 'heart-wrenching cruelty' of twins separated at birth.

Viewers of the ITV show, hosted by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, found the story about Jason and Louise very hard to hear, especially when it emerged the two siblings had very different upbringings.

Fans were devastated when they learned the brother and sister had been separated at a young age.

One wrote: "It just seems so cruel to separate twins. Heart wrenchingly cruel"

"longlostfamily is so raw, emotional and heartbreaking," added another.

And a third added: "#longlostfamily So good Jason and Emma found each other"

Also in the episode were Kathleen and Jean who discovered they were long-lost sisters.

The women met their mum in Canada and started to build a relationship with their birth mother and step siblings after being separated for over 60 years.

However, it wasn't over for Kathleen as hosts Davina and Nicky reunited her with her family in Jamaica.

Kathleen went to the Caribbean island where she met her half sister and got to visit her father's grave.
