Whilst Lucifer fans eagerly await the arrival of Lucifer season five, part two on Netflix, the official Lucifer Writer’s Room Twitter account has been teasing details about the sixth and final series. Episode nine is titled Goodbye, Lucifer but who is leaving during the show’s penultimate episode? has everything you need to know.

Who will leave Lucifer?

Once again, supernatural drama Lucifer has been saved from cancellation.

Instead of concluding after its mega 16-episode fifth series as planned, Netflix reversed its decision to cancel the show.

Lucifer will return for a sixth and final series in late 2021 or early 2022 and over the past few weeks, the Lucifer Writers’ Room has been revealing the episode titles of the final series.

The title of episode nine, Goodbye Lucifer, has sparked fear amongst fans one of the show’s beloved characters will die.

The Lucifer Writers’ Room account tweeted: “Who will be saying ‘goodbye’ in #Lucifer’s second-to-last episode?

“You have 17 eps to go before finding out, and you better believe @Chris_Rafferty is bringing the feels. But don’t worry — he wants you all to know that he’s looking out for your hearts #youreinsafehands.”

Fans have been sharing their theories online as to which Lucifer star will be making an early exit, with many suspecting Lucifer’s brother Amenadiel (played by DB Woodside) or Linda (Rachael Harris) will be the first to say goodbye.

One fan tweeted: “Amenadiel goes back to heaven. And please don’t kill anyone.”

A second fan added: “That’s my line of thinking. Linda dies and he takes Charlie to go back to heaven with momma. Either way, I’m dead. The feels already just over episode titles!!!”

A third fan shared their theory of God being the first to say goodbye.

They tweeted: “Pls no, this is a big NO. Amenadiel or god goes back to heaven and that’s it, no d words or pain for one time.” (sic)

However, there has been no confirmation Dennis Haysbert, who plays God in Lucifer season five, will return for the sixth series.

Therefore, there is a huge possibility fans could be saying goodbye to God at some point in Lucifer season five, part two.

On the other hand, some fans suspect it could well be Lucifer saying goodbye to hell itself.

In season five of Lucifer, Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer finally got together, after Lucifer returned from a brief spell in hell.

He will at some point have to make a choice. Will he stay on Earth to be with Chloe or will he return to hell as its rightful king?

Episode five of the sixth series is titled The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar, and it is very likely the two are linked in some way.

One fan shared in response to the episode title: “I’m telling you that in the end Lucifer will have to choose either Earth or Heaven or Hell to live with Chloe? It will be his only chance to choose!!!!!”

Fans will have to wait until season six of Lucifer arrives on Netflix in late 2021 or early 2022 to find out who will be leaving the series. will update this article when more information is available.
