Noughts and Crosses viewers shocked as they spot EastEnders' original Ben

Noughts and Crosses fans were left shocking during tonight’s premiere episode as former EastEnders actor Charlie Jones — who famously portrayed Ben Mitchell over a decade ago — made an appearance.

The highly-anticipated BBC adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s classic novel launched tonight, and while there was evidently a lot to discuss about the premiere episode, it was actor Charlie’s appearance that was all anyone could talk about on social media.

EastEnders fans will know that Charlie was the third actor to portray the iconic Mitchell character — inhabiting the role for four years between 2006 and 2010.

It’s safe to say that viewers were shocked by his unexpected appearance in the new BBC One drama, and therefore they took to social media to relay their thoughts on the matter.
