Simon Cowell makes personal dig at appearance as he opens up on changing face
BGT: Contestant sets judge Simon Cowell on fire
The Britain’s Got Talent auditions resumed on ITV with Simon Cowell leading the judging panel.
Following an act who managed to produce Bruno Tonioli’s face out of Rubik’s Cubes, the panellists felt bad for doubting his skills.
As he held up his masterpiece, Amanda Holden made a joke about Bruno, saying: “Well, he’s got the orange [face] right!”
“How the hell do you do that?” Simon asked as the performer said: “Practice…turns out you have a really difficult face to make out of Rubik’s Cubes.”
To which Simon replied: “I’ll change my face…again.”
Alesha Dixon laughed as Simon appeared to make a dig at his own appearance in front of the audience.
Amanda grabbed Simon’s shoulder as the rest of the panel laughed in response to his joke.
He had the audience in stitches as Alesha concluded: “That was very, very clever.”

Simon’s appearance has been subject to jokes and some concern since before the new series of BGT began.
Even hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have joked the newest face on the judging panel (Bruno Tonioli), is ‘Simon’s new face’.
Simon laughed along with the joke and has clarified his change of appearance is due to cosmetic surgery.
He told The Sun: “I haven’t had a facelift or anything. I have had a bit of Botox or whatever but kind of nothing drastic.
“So, when I hear about this stuff honestly, it does make me laugh. Over the years people have said that I’ve had everything done.
“But I don’t Google myself, so I genuinely don’t have a clue what everyone is saying about me until we do things like BGT.”
Viewers have previously taken to Twitter to share their concerns about Simon’s appearance.
While some have joked about his face in the latest season, Simon appears to have taken the comments well.
Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV on Saturdays at 8pm
