The Walking Dead has aired for more than 10 years, and most of its original cast is already gone. Of the few remaining original cast members, Norman Reedus is the most famous. He plays a southern hunter who quickly became a fan favorite.
Apart from working on the Walking Dead, Reedus also has his own show called Riding With Norman Reedus. He has had various high-profile names on the show, including comedian Dave Chappelle and Peter Fonda. In 2018, Reedus invited singer Marilyn Manson on a joyride in a sidecar. Find out more.
When does the ‘Walking Dead’ take place
The Walking Dead is a post-apocalyptic show that airs on AMC. The zombies on the show shamble toward humans and other creatures to devour them. They respond to noises such as gunshots and scents such as human scents.
In the first few seasons, it was implied that humans could only turn into walkers (as the zombies are referred to) only if they get bitten or scratched by the zombies. Later on, viewers learned that all living humans have the pathogen that causes mutation, which activates only after the host has died.
The only way to permanently kill the zombie is to destroy their bodies by burning them or damaging their brains. The Walking Dead follows Rick Grimes, a sheriff’s deputy who’s just woken up from a coma to find the walkers have taken over the world.
He forms a group of survivors from Atlanta and leads them to try and protect themselves from the walkers and other living humans who are willing to do anything to survive. The show has been on the air for 10 seasons and is slated to end after its eleventh season. Reedus plays the motorcycle-riding walker-slaying Daryl.
Who is Marilyn Manson
Brian Hugh Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson is no stranger to controversy. The star uses controversy to fuel his public image and personal brand. Over the years of his career, controversial stories surrounding Manson have surfaced, including ones that involve him biting a living chicken’s head on stage.
Other stories about the singer have been nothing if not bizarre. For example, rumors swirled that Manson got his ribs removed so that he could pleasure himself. Manson refuted such claims saying, “quite honestly, I would not want to do that.” He’s also a huge fan of The Walking Dead and once had a bizzare appearance on the podcast Talking Dead, according to Loudwire.
Manson was part of a band in the ’80s called Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids, with the singer as the band’s frontman. The group got their big break when they released their first major album, Portrait of An American Family. Manson followed the album up with an EP in 1995 called Smells Like Children. The EP went platinum and thrust Manson into commercial success.
He released an album in 2020 called We Are Chaos. Although the initial reviews of the album were primarily positive, it fell out of favor when his ex-fiancé Evan Rachel Wood said that the star had “horrifically abused” her for a long time. Wood’s accusations against Manson soon caught fire when other women came forward with similar claims.
Manson and Reedus went on a post-Easter joyride
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Reedus recalled his experience riding with Manson in the third season of his hit show Ride with Norman Reedus. The star admitted that Manson was “super cool” and the sweetest guy ever.”
Manson also posted on Instagram about riding with Reedus around Music City. Tennessean reports that Reedus and Manson rode together with the latter in a Harley Davidson sidecar. The two stars also attended a roller derby game. Manson called the ride “the best post-Easter” and thanked Reedus for the experience.
