Australian cricket great Michael Slater is behind bars after being arrested for ‘breaching restraining order and using mobile phone to harass his ex-girlfriend’

Australian cricket great Michael Slater has been charged and refused bail for allegedly breaching a domestic violence order.

Police arrested the 51-year-old on West Promenade in Manly at 7.45am on Wednesday. 

The sporting legend was taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and will appear Manly Local Court on Wednesday.
