Trump rips Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren after she drops out of 2020 race

President Trump ripped Sen. Elizabeth Warren after news broke that she was dropping out of the presidential race  Thursday, repeating his derisive nickname for the Massachusetts Democrat and again accusing her of costing Bernie Sanders wins on Super Tuesday.

“Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren, who was going nowhere except into Mini Mike’s head, just dropped out of the Democrat Primary…THREE DAYS TOO LATE. She cost Crazy Bernie, at least, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Texas. Probably cost him the nomination! Came in third in Mass.,” he wrote, also using his favorite nickname for Mike Bloomberg, who dropped out of the race the day before.

The president told reporters Wednesday that Warren should have dropped out earlier, calling her “a spoiler.”

“Bernie would have won states that he lost because of Warren. She was really a spoiler. In the case of Elizabeth Warren, if she would have done what she probably should have done, he would have won a lot of states, Massachusetts, probably Texas, and Minnesota,” Trump said in the White House during a meeting with airline execs on the spreading coronavirus threat.

Warren plans to personally announce she is dropping out at a press conference at 12:30 pm Thursday after informing her staff, according to multiple reports.

She failed to win a single contest on Super Tuesday, with Biden taking a surprising 10 races and Sanders four, a disappointment for his campaign
